The purpose of Springton Lake Presbyterian Church is to be a local church that follows Jesus Christ for the good of our community, region and world for today and future generations. Our vision is to see people find a relationship with God through saving faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. By this we are changed as God does amazing works of forgiveness and healing in our personal lives, our families and the world.

You are most welcome to join us! If we can help you in anyway, contact us at office@slpca.org.

EASTER SEASON PRAYER GUIDE   Lent is from a Latin word meaning “fortieth” and from an Old English word meaning “spring.” As a solemn observance in the calendar of many Christian denominations, Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and continues until Easter Sunday. The traditional intent of Lent is to prepare the believer for the resurrection celebration of Easter through prayer, repentance and self-denial. Our purpose is daily encouragement to remember that our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed for us, was also raised from the dead for us, and will return for us in glory and power! To that end we dedicate A Prayer Guide & Devotional for the Season Leading to Easter, available here:   http://tiny.cc/SLPC_Prayer_Guide

Building For The Future (BFTF)

April 19

Ground Breaking Ceremony

Many thanks to everyone for your prayers and generous support of the BFTF plans. Our leadership team has negotiated a workable solution with Univest Bank to overcome what we judged to be a very low appraisal of our building and grounds. However, with cash gifts to date of $1,050,000 and pledges that yield a potential mortgage value of $1,160,000 totaling $2,210,000 – we are in a good position to move forward!  Pray for the March 26 pre-construction meeting with our Architect/ Construction Manager Steve Brown, Marple Township Officials and Univest Officers.  If all goes well it is anticipated that we will settle with the bank on April 9.

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Ceremonial Ground Breaking on April 19th.  This will take place immediately after the Worship Service (weather permitting) outside on the church lawn – to be followed by a ‘tail-gate’ barbecue lunch! Details will follow soon.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1
