I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬

Have you ever considered what it will look like when all God’s people are gathered together?

The early Church was primarily made up of Jews, Greeks, and Romans. In 1900, 70% of the Church lived in Europe. In 2020, 120 years later, less than 25% of the Church lived in Europe, while 26% lived in Africa and 24% in Latin America. Based on current population and church growth trends, in 2050, just 30 years later, 40% of the Church will live in Africa, 20% in Latin America and 18% in Asia. So when Christ returns and the Church throughout all of time is assembled, imagine what the sea of faces will look like!

The focus of this year’s Missions Sunday is The Global Church. On April 28th, we will see how God is fulfilling His plan to build His Church from every tribe, tongue and nation, and how Springton Lake Church is a part of His plan.

Come to the sanctuary at 9 a.m. for a churchwide Sunday School class on The beautiful diversity within the global body of Christ: trends and stories. The class will be led by Dr. Kyle & Koko Wisdom. Dr. Wisdom is the deputy director of the International Institute for Religious Freedom and frequently represents the World Evangelical Alliance in diplomatic and interfaith settings. He previously served as a pastor and seminary professor. Koko is a member care and development consultant with Pioneers. They previously served in Southeast Asia with a focus on empowering the local church for witness. Note: all other adult classes will not meet so everyone can attend this special class. Kyle will also be the guest preacher at our 10:15 a.m. worship service.

Bless our Missionaries: Our church supports missionary families serving all over the world. Our Missions Team will send each missionary family a monetary gift from our church family. During Coffee Cafe on Missions Sunday, there will be an opportunity to write notes to our missionaries. To contribute to the gift, make checks payable to Springton Lake Presbyterian Church and note "Missionaries Gift" on the memo line. Gifts can be mailed to the church office or put in the Sunday offering anytime during the month of April.
