Youth Updates
From Jake Bier
This past season has been a fun and busy time for our youth! After months of not meeting due to COVID, the youth group has been meeting regularly on Sunday nights since September. A typical night at youth group includes games, lots of food, a Bible message, and small groups led by adult volunteers. It has been exciting to see the students come together, build friendships, and grow in their faith!
In addition to our weekly meetings, we have also had some fun events throughout the fall. In September, we had a Nerf fight inside the church, with all the lights turned off (and no one got hurt!). The students had a great time—they’ve been begging to do it again! We did our best to clean up, but we still keep finding darts around the building!
In October, we went on a hayride with the church family to Linvilla Orchards, which was a blast. Our Christmas party in December was a big hit — first we went around caroling at the houses of some of our church members, and then we came back to the church for a party and a “White Elephant” gift exchange.
Recently, senior high students have been meeting after church once a month for lunch and a Bible study. This has been a great way for some of our older students to connect with others their age and study God’s Word together.
In the new year, we are hoping that God would continue to use the youth ministry in the lives of our students. Please join us in praying for our students as they walk with Jesus and navigate the various challenges of being teenagers.
