Youth Updates

God has gifted our students with many different talents and abilities, and it’s always exciting to see how they are using these gifts for His glory. Over the past couple of weeks, our students have been involved in all kinds of activities at their schools. As you read their stories, be sure to pray for each one of them!

Carrie Hodkinson (7th) and Caleb Miller (7th) were ensemble members in Marple-Newtown School’s production of Matilda. They did a great job singing and keeping up with the challenging dance choreography.

A couple of the students had lead roles in their school plays, including two who played the same character! Joanna Harris (8th) was the star of the show at Tredyffrin-Easttown middle school’s presentation of Beauty & the Beast. At Delaware County Christian School, Emma Carrington (12th) played Belle and Emily Chung (12th) was Cogsworth the clock. All three of the girls were the stars of the show!

Milo Fenley (6th) and his team at Delaware County Christian School recently competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Robotics Competition and came in 3rd place overall. This placement has won them an invitation to the World Robotic Championship, which will take place this coming May in Dallas, Texas!

Laura and Maureen Carpenter (12th) have been busy all year performing in various orchestras - Philadelphia’s All Catholic Band and Orchestra, the pit orchestra for both Archbishop Carroll High School and Archmere Academy, and the Delaware County Youth Orchestra. Maureen plays the cello, and Laura plays the clarinet.

We are thankful that the Lord has provided our students with so many areas in which they can use their talents. Join us in praising Him as they continue to use their gifts, talents, and abilities for His glory!
