Advent, that time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of Christmas is now over with the arrival of our Savior, the Son of God. Now on the last Sunday of 2021 - the day after Christmas - our attention turns to the earliest days of the life of Jesus as described in the account of Matthew 2:1-12. This story takes place many weeks after the birth of Jesus in the Bethlehem stable - and it contains some of the most well-known and tragic elements of the Christmas Story.
